American and European regulations demand the gradual installations of smart metering systems. On the one hand, this will improve the management of energy demand, on the other hand this will allow users to control and calculate use of resources and promote saving energy. IQPC`s International Conference M2M for Utilities from

January 30 – February 1, 2012 in Potsdam, Germany is the only conference dedicated to M2M solutions for utilities and brings together experts from different countries around the world, such as United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Italy and Netherlands.

Major topics include the following:

• Regulations and standards, such as EU Directives on Metering

• Business models for sustainable cooperation between utilities and telcom operators, such as the architecture of communication networks

• Future energy systems, concerning the future role of customer participation

• Successful roll-out and functional M2M Smart Grids in Sweden

On Conference Day One and Two, participants can follow panel discussions on future M2M infrastructure, led by Conference Chairman Prof. Antonello Monti (RWTH Aachen University).
